Meet The Team
Office Manager and Dental Assistant
The jazzy sounds of Louis Armstrong often fill the lobby at Kemmet Dental Design, but that’s not Pandora playing. It’s Keisha: office manager, dental assistant, and world-class impersonator of early 20th century musical legends.
A 2009 graduate of the Rio Salado College dental assisting program and current member of the American Dental Assistants Association, Keisha not only tends to every wayward molar that walks through the door, but also pays the bills and reminds hubby Dr. Kemmet where he put the Post-Its. It’s rumored that there is a documentary in the works detailing Keisha’s rise to fame as holder of the least-painful staff meetings ever recorded. Her Joke of the Day will reportedly play a starring role.
Keisha is also chiefly responsible for the removal of the sailboat-themed wallpaper in the office, for which we cannot thank her enough.
Patient Care Coordinator
I was born and raised in Grand Forks, ND. My husband, Lance, is a conductor for Burlington Northern. I have two children, Bailey, 16 and Hunter, 10. Bailey keeps herself busy with her studies, work and lookout world but there is yet another teenage driver on the road! Hunter keeps himself busy with spots, hockey, baseball, and football; and all that that implies. I have a Bachelor’s in Science in Hotel/Restaurant Management, however, when my father was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer, God led me to the path of dentistry. That was 18 years ago, yet it feels like yesterday. I am fascinated with the human body and how what occurs in our own mouths is related to our body. I also have an unnatural curiosity regarding dental insurance. I strive to solve the puzzle and tame the dental beast known as insurance and enjoy helping patients figure out the grey areas.
If you hear someone singing along with the radio at Kemmet Dental Design, it’s probably Shelly. A past member of the singing group “Treble Makers”, she has performed at many holiday parties, conventions and the Minot Arts in the Park summer finale.
Music has been a part of her life since growing up on a diary farm near Minot. She enjoys baking, which is why she needs to visit the gym on a regular basis. As a lifelong Vikings fan, she understands disappointment, but there is always next year.
Her husband, David, enjoys teaching science at Minot High School. Daughter, Erika, followed into dentistry as a dental hygienist in Fargo, ND and son, Rob, is back in Minot after 10 years in Texas. Four grandchildren complete the family. Her second family are her awesome coworkers and the many patients she has met since starting in dentistry.
Kelsey Janz Karlinksy
Kelsey is from Northern Wisconsin. She moved here 3 years ago with her husband of 5 years. She graduated from Lake Superior College with an AAS in Dental Hygiene and certification in anesthetic. Kelsey bleeds green and gold for the Green Bay Packer and she loves to travel. Kelsey is an advocate of health and fitness. If you can’t find her at the office or gym, you will find her with her fishing pole by a body of water. Kelsey looks forward to meeting you and can’t wait to help you gain that healthy smile you’ve always wanted!
